Angela Merkel's office clarified that none of her personal information was published online by hackers.Berlin: Hackers have posted personal data from hundreds of German politicians from major parties including credit card details and mobile phone numbers, local media reported on Friday.While it was reported earlier that Chancellor Angela Merkel was among those affected, her office clarified today that no sensitive information from of German top leader's office was published online."With regard to chancellery it seems that, judging by initial review, no sensitive information and data have been published and this includes (from) chancellor," Angela Merkel's spokewoman told a regular government news conference.Germany's BSI national cyber defence body met early on Friday after it received news of hack, a spokesman told Reuters.Politicians from far-left Linke party were among those affected, including Dietmar Bartsch, leader of its group in lower parliamentary house, a spokesman said.The Rheinische Post newspaper said in its online edition that Chancellor Angela Merkel and President Frank-Walter Steinmeier were also victims of leaks.Public broadcaster ARD reported earlier that data, from hundreds of politicians and published on a Twitter account, included addresses, personal letters and copies of identity cards, citing affiliate rbb.All major German parties except for far-right AfD were affected.

The identity of hackers and their motive were not known, report said.Bild newspaper said secure internal network of Germany's government was not hit by hackers, citing sources inside BSI.A BSI spokesman told Reuters national cyber defence body met to coordinate response of federal government agencies including domestic and foreign intelligence agencies.The cyber body began meeting "as soon as were aware of this - so since this morning", spokesman said, without giving any details about extent of hack.ARD said that, after a first review of data, journalists had not detected any incriminating content.
