The Itaipu hydroelectric power plant, jointly operated by Brazil and Paraguay, has reported a 35% increase in electricity production during the first half of the year compared to the same period in 2022.This marks the highest production for that period in the past five years, according to a statement from Itaipu Binacional, the binational company managing the plant.Between January and June, the Itaipu dam generated a total of 40,651,877 megawatt-hours (MWh), surpassing the 30,111,313 MWh produced in the corresponding period of 2022.The plant's remarkable performance was highlighted, stating that the production .
