KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 20Legendary climber Mingma Sherpa from Makalu, Sangkhuwasabha today successfully climbed the world's eighth highest mountain in western Nepal."I have reached the real summit of Mt Manaslu along with Lakpa Temba Sherpa at around 5:45am this morning," Mingma, who is also the chairman of Seven Summit Treks, shared.Mingma, once crowned as the first South Asian climber to join the 14 8,000er-club, decided to re-attempt to climb Mt Manaslu this season to reach the real summit of the mountain.

Earlier, Mingma had climbed Manaslu in 2000. Likewise, youngest Pakistani climber Shehroze Kashif has also scaled the mountain, said Chhang Dawa Sherpa, expedition Director at SST.Tenjin (Lama) Sherpa, who has already climbed all 14 peaks in a record 92 days, also stood atop the mountain, he added.From SST, Mingma Temba Sherpa and pasang Nurbu Sherpa reached the real summit without using supplemental oxygen, according to Chhang Dawa.Uta Ibrahimi, Dorothy Lidia, Alasdair Mckenzie, Alina Pekova, Adrian Laza, Moeses Fiamoncini, Lakpa Nurbu Sherpa, Dawa Sherpa, Chhepal Sherpa, Tenjing Sherpa and Pasang Dawa Sherpa also reached the summit point of Manaslu this morning, he added. .
