NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated the National Youth Festival on the event of the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.Addressing the National Youth Festival, the Prime Minister stated from toys to tourism, defence to digital, the nation is making headlines throughout the world.

It is your century, century of Indias youth, he said.PM Modi got a warm welcome in Hubbali as individuals were seen thronging the roads and showering flowers on his cavalcade.The 26th edition of the festival, which will be held till January 16 at Hubballi-Dharwad, is being arranged by the ministry of youth affairs and sports in partnership with the federal government of Karnataka.Heres all you require to know: Highlighting the value of the next 25 years for the nation, PM Modi said that Yuva Shakti is the driving force of Indias journey .

National Youth Day 2023 is very unique.

On one hand, this urja mahotsav, and on the other hand, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

We have to take the nation forward by emphasising and comprehending our responsibilities during the Amrit Kaal.

For this, there is great inspiration from Swami Vivekananda before the youth.

If the world aims to us for services, its because of the devotion of our Amrit generation, PM Modi added.During the five-day event, over 7,500 youth delegates from all over India get together to participate in various learning activities.Delegates showing up from 28 states and 8 union territories will be taking part in this youth celebration to display their skill.

There will be a range of cultural and sports activities throughout all five days.

It is for the very first time the national youth celebration is being kept in the north Karnataka area and it will help the youth to come up in all the fields, Karnataka chief minister Bommai said.Activities in the celebration will include- discussions on relevant styles like student-centric governance and Digital India, adventure sports activities, exhibitions of standard sports, competitive cultural occasions where troupes from different states participate.On January 15, a YOGATHON is prepared in between 6 am to 8 am by mobilising five lakh people from across 31 districts of Karnataka.
