MYSURU: A massive force has been deployed — backed by technological support, trained elephants, and cages — to track and capture a tiger that mauled a woman inside Bandipur Tiger Reserve (BTR) on Friday, reports Milton Lawrence.Forest officers confirmed that the attack took place when 3 women ventured into the forested area of the tiger reserve to graze their cattle.Around 100 trained personnel attached to the Special Tiger Protection Force, Elephant Task Force, Leopard Task Force, and 8 anti-poaching units have been roped.Drones, cameras, forest watchers, and 3 elephants with vets are part of the teams currently scouring the area for the killer tiger.More cameras are being installed for monitoring and 3 cages, including a specialized Tumakuru cage, are being installed to trap the big cat.
