NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading lower in Thursday's morning session. Shares of Tata Elxsi (down 1 per cent), Infosys (down 0.90 per cent), Oracle Financial Services Software (down 0.51 per cent) and HCL Technologies (down 0.41 per cent) were trading with losses.

Tata Consultancy Services (down 0.40 per cent), NIIT Technologies (down 0.36 per cent) and Infibeam Avenues (down 0.11 per cent) too were trading lower.

The Nifty IT index was trading 0.31 per cent down at 15,950.10 around 10:12 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 11.10 points at 11,573.20 while the BSE Sensex was down 38.46 points at 38,546.89.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 were trading in the green, while 29 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, DLF, Indian Oil Corp, Vedanta, SAIL, YES Bank, Bharti Airtel and Wipro were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
