Warangal: With the state federal government being determined in not enforcing lockdown despite the growing variety of Covid-19 positive cases, several villages in erstwhile Warangal district where cases are on the increase, decided to observe lockdown willingly.

While many towns remained unaffected throughout the very first wave of the pandemic, they are severely impacted throughout the second.People are worried as at least 30 to 40 persons in each town are going through treatment for the disease.

As an outcome, the village governing bodies are going with self-lockdown in their locations to stop the spread of the infection and safeguard themselves.

As part of this, company establishments are permitted to remain open only throughout particular timings and the entry of outsiders into the towns is barred.

A fine of Rs 1,000 will be imposed on violators of these norms.Asha workers and ANMs are offering isolation packages to those with symptoms.

They are also conducting door to door studies by inspecting locals' temperature levels.

If they have symptoms, they are being provided medication.

If the signs are extreme, they are referred to hospitals.

Those who check favorable are either home separated or admitted to hospitals.

In Warangal Urban district, the town panchayat of Elkaturthy decided to permit services to run just in between 5 am and 12 twelve noon.

The homeowners were asked not to step outside during the remainder of the time till May 22.

The sarpanch of Kondaparthy Katkuri Rajamani stated that they would carry out partial lockdown in the town according to which shops would be open in between 6 am and 10 am and 5 pm and 7 pm.
