PANAJI: Following a viral video on Sunday showing a car being driven with its rear doors open, Porvorim police arrested the driver, a native of Karnataka.
Police said that the incident took place on Sunday night at Porvorim.The car was being driven by a friend of the vehicle owner.Alert citizens recorded the violation and posted it on social media, and it immediately went viral.The police swung into action, found the details of the vehicle, and called the owner of the car and the driver to the police station.Porvorim police have registered the case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including endangering the life and personal safety of others, rash driving, and the Motor Vehicles Act.There were around three people in the car, and one of the people sitting behind kept one door open with his foot.
