Arjun Bijlani: I would sprint to secure the front seat on the double decker bus for a panoramic view of MumbaiDuring my college days, we used to travel on a double-decker bus.

I would often sprint to secure the front seat so that I could feel the breeze and have a panoramic view from above – my personal perspective of Mumbai from the upper floor.

I used to live in town at that time, and my college was also located there.

Catching that bus was always a delightful experience for me.

Sometimes, the bus would stop for a brief moment, so I used to run and get into the bus and head straight up to check if the front seat above was unoccupied.Bharti Singh: I kept dreaming of taking a joyride in a double decker bus for years, but it never happenedI have been living in Mumbai for many years now and would often dream about taking a double decker bus.

But it never happened as life got hectic once I started working.

Today, when I came to know that these buses will be discontinued, I felt sad.

They are synonymous with Mumbai and I was hoping that at least one bus would be retained.

If these buses ever come back on Mumbai’s roads, I would love to take my son Gola on them.Aasiya Kazi: I have some great childhood memories of sitting in a double decker busI have fond memories of double decker buses from my childhood.

Back then, we didn’t have a car, so we used to travel by bus, auto or train.

Every time we boarded a double decker bus, my brother and I used to run to get the front seats on the upper deck.

And seeing our excitement, some people would offer us their seats.

Whenever I see double decker buses, all these childhood memories come back.

It was like an adventure for us, we would feel so excited to board the buses.

Today’s kids won’t be able to enjoy this.

We were lucky to experience the charm of double decker buses in our childhood.

I am sad that we won’t find them on our roads anymore.Karan Sharma: I don’t feel double decker buses should be discontinuedI moved to Mumbai in 2007 and would commute from Kurla to Dadar in a double decker bus.

The experience of travelling in one was so memorable.

We never had double decker buses in my hometown, Dehradun, so this was new to me.

I used to love traveling in them and would sit in the first row.

Sadly, the buses kept reducing, especially on the suburban side of the city.

I don’t feel they should be discontinued and I hope they are revived.Karan Khandelwal: I would take my friends from other cities for a ride on double decker buses, it was an adventure for usA double decker bus always fascinated me because it was so unique to Mumbai.

I have travelled in double decker buses and have always enjoyed the ride.

I always used to sit on the upper deck.

There were a couple of times when my friends from other cities would come down and I would take them for a ride on a double decker bus.

It felt so adventurous to do that.

For the last few years, I haven’t got an opportunity to travel in them as a daily soap leaves you with hardly any spare time.

I was thinking of travelling in one today, but I am busy with preparation for Ganpatiji’s arrival.

I feel they shouldn’t have been discontinued because they are such an integral part of Mumbai.
