NEW DELHI: Describing the murder of a 16-year-old girl by 23-year-old Sahil Khan as "premeditated" and "planned revenge", Delhi Police has filed a 640-page chargesheet in the case.

The girl was stabbed 22 times by Khan in full public view in northwest Delhi's Shahbad Dairy on May 29.

Police filed their report Monday.

These calls were made both on the mobile network and on WhatsApp.

According to police, Sahil was angry over Sakshi ignoring him.

Sahil said he had bought the murder weapon 10-15 days back and dumped it somewhere in Rithala,Further, voice samples from a call recording between the girl and Khan have been matched, which has helped cops establish criminal intent, they said.

Khan had procured the weapon a fortnight before the murder, leading police to conclude that it was a planned crime, a source said.Special commissioner (law and order) Dependra Pathak told TOI police had a "watertight" case based on scientific and biological evidence, besides the use of CCTV footage and voice samples collected during the probe.

"The chargesheet, readied within a month, was filed under the Indian Penal Code sections of sexual harassment, POCSO Act and SC/ST Act, besides murder," he said.Sources said the girl's skin had got stuck into Khan's nails during a scuffle which had ensued when Khan waylaid her.

Apart from this, the blood stains on the concrete block, Khan's shoes and clothes and on the knife matched that of the girl.

"In this case, the medical and biological evidence are of utmost importance and they have matched completely with that of the victim," a police official said on Wednesday.

An in-depth investigation revealed the girl and Khan were earlier in a relationship but she was trying to distance herself from him.

This led to frequent arguments.

On May 27 evening, the girl and Khan had a quarrel and two of her friends were also present.

Khan told police later he felt insulted and ignored, so he decided to eliminate the girl.

The crime took place on May 29.

Khan, who used to stay in Shahbad Dairy area, was drinking with a friend a few hours earlier.

Later, when he saw the girl heading to the community toilet to get ready for her friend's son's birthday party, he accosted her and attacked her with a knife and concrete slabs for more than a minute.The teenager was stabbed multiple times in full public view, but no one called the police.

Cops learnt about the incident at least 30 minutes later after a local informed the beat official about a girl's body lying in a lane.

A case of murder was registered and Khan was arrested from Bulandshahr.Special CP Pathak had formed a special team of DCP Ravi Kumar Singh and additional DCP Raja Banthia to probe the case.

The cops first recorded the statements of several people, including two of the girl's friends who were present when the fight between her and Khan occurred.

Later, the statement of another male friend was also recorded.

Police had also questioned Khan's parents.

After Khan's arrest, police had recovered the murder weapon that had been thrown in a drain in Rohini.

Cops had also taken him to the spot for recreation of the crime scene and the route taken by him before and after the murder.
