RAUTAHAT, APRIL 12Three persons were critically injured after a group of people attacked a family over an old dispute at Mailapur Municipality, Rautahat, last night. 12 injured in jackal attack in Sarlahi 12 injured in Sarlahi jackal attack The Sah family attacked Shambhu Nath Tiwari, Dwarika Tiwari and their mother Bindumati Tiwari.

People of the Sah community of Maryadpur at the municipality were involved in the assault with the aim of killing the trio. The injured were taken to Narayani Hospital, Birgunj after primary treatment at the local health facility of Mailapur.According to Rautahat District Police Office, the Tiwari family was attacked frequently, earlier.

There had been attempts to settle the issue at the municipality office, but the family this time was assaulted i, said police, adding that security had been tightened to prevent possible unwanted incidents.Police arrested two persons involved in the case the same night.

SP Binod Pokhrel said that police were searching for others involved in the case.

He added that other issues were also opened up from the side of arrested side.

SP Pokhrel clarified that police were investigating even though the victims were yet to file FIR.Mayor Rina Kumari Sah reached the hospital to inquire about the victims.

She further urged health workers not to cut costs in the treatment of the injured.

Sah added that stern action would be taken against the culprits.Meanwhile, issuing a press statement through social media, CPN-UML Standing committee member Prabhu Sah said that his attention was drawn to the attack on the Tiwari family.

He demanded that the police administration give importance to enforcing the law of the land and take action against the culprits soon.
