BAJURA, SEPTEMBER 23Cancer patient Ramita Kumari Rawal, 25, of Panchdebal Binayak Municipality, Accham, has been struggling for life due to lack of treatment expenses.

Ramita's elder brother Dhirendra Bahadur Rawal said she was suffering fromuterus and large intestine cancer for four years and lacked treatment expenses.She is studying civil engineering.
The family has faced acute financial crisis in meeting Ramita treatment expenses even though she was taken to Lalitpur-based Nepal Cancer Hospital.
The relatives of Ramita had taken her to Delhi, India, for chemotherapy.Doctors said that Ramita needed at least five cycles.One cycle was given.
One chemotherapy needed thirty to forty thousand rupees.Dhirendra said the treatment was expensive as the patient had to be kept in ICU for chemo.
He said it was very difficult to pay for the chemo and bed charges.Ramita said that she would continue her study if she got better.
She added that she needed more money for further treatment.
