KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 27A Sherpa climber has set a new record after he made the fastest ascent of Mt Manaslu this morning.According to Mingma Gyalje Sherpa, Managing Director at Imagine Nepal Treks, Pemba Gyalje Sherpa from Nepal made new speed record on Mt Manaslu.

"Pemba has set a new record of 12 hours on Manaslu climb."According to Mingma G, Pemba started the climb from base camp at 7pm on 26th September and reached the summit at 7am on 27th September 2023.

He made the ascent without the support of oxygen. His GPS tracker can be found here https://share.garmin.com/S3KHQ, according to Mingma G.The previous speed record was 13 hrs by Francois Cazzanelli in 2019.Rousen Jiao from China, Nima Nuru Sherpa, Liu Yingan from China, Dawa Tenzing Sherpa, Lakpa Tendi Sherpa, Himal Khatri, Bis Bahadur Gurung, Su Jiangfa from China and Angdu Sherpa from Imagine Nepal Treks also made it to summit today.

Imagine Nepal has 24 clients made it to summit on Manaslu this year making it 100% summit for the team, Mingma G added. .
