KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 6NRNA, the Non-Resident Nepali Association, and MIT Group Foundation, have successfully raised a remarkable Rs 10 million for the urgent rescue and relief efforts in response to the devastating earthquake that hit Jajarkot and Rukum west on November 3. Shesh Ghale, who is also the founding Chair of MIT Group Foundation, came together to support this critical cause.

The meeting proved highly effective in swiftly collecting the targeted amount for immediate rescue and relief operations.

During the meeting, NRNA officials committed to contributing Rs five million, and the MIT Group Foundation pledged an equal amount for this humanitarian cause.Additionally, the NRNA decided to collaborate and coordinate their relief and rescue efforts with the MIT Group Foundation through the NRN Global Foundation, an NRNA subsidiary dedicated to social work. Following this crucial meeting and collaborative decision, the first phase of relief distribution has already commenced today.

In coordination with local authorities, a team led by the NRNA's Youth Brand Ambassador, Dipesh Khatri, is en route to the earthquake-affected areas in Aathbiskot, equipped with 1000 sets of blankets and essential food supplies, the statement reads.Furthermore, under the guidance of Dr.

Ghale, NRNA advisors AC Sherpa and Shyam Tamang, and Suresh Chitrakar, the Manager of MIT Group Foundation, a joint team will conduct a field visit to the earthquake-affected areas.

They will engage in discussions with victims, local representatives, relevant government stakeholders, and agencies to assess the situation comprehensively.

Subsequently, they will formulate plans and guidelines for both short-term and long-term rescue and relief efforts to effectively assist the affected communities., NRNA said. .
