KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 24The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has urged the government not to use force and to refrain from arresting protestors, emphasizing the importance of respecting their freedom of opinion and expression. NHRC urges govt to conclude transitional justice process soon NHRC urges govt to ensure child rights The Commission, however, has called on demonstrators to conduct their protests within the boundaries defined by the constitution, law, and the principles of human rights.In a statement issued by Commission Spokesperson Tikaram Pokharel, it was highlighted, 'The Commission has requested protestors to fulfill the role of responsible citizens by avoiding the misuse of social media and refraining from engaging in activities that may incite violence.' The Commission expressed concern about demonstrations conducted by the Youth Association Nepal and those under the banner of the campaign to preserve the nation, nationality, religion, culture, and citizens.It also noted instances of hate speeches circulating on various social media platforms.

In response, the Commission urged both sides to exercise restraint and abstain from disseminating hate speeches. .
