Don't miss: Padmaavat Tamil trailer out now

Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor’s controversial film Padmaavat will be released in Tamil and Telugu as well, and the trailer of the Tamil film was released by the leading lady of the film, Deepika Padukone. The trailer promises audiences grandeur and breathtaking visuals, which is director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s forte.

Seeing that the film made headlines all through 2017, it would also fascinate an individual to know what the fuss is all about. The Hindi original is currently banned in four north Indian states, and the makers have filed an appeal at the Supreme Court to allow the film’s release in these states.

The film was initially supposed to release on December 1 as Padmavati. However, in the face of massive protests by right-wing organisations and delay in certification by Central Board of Film Certification, the makers decided to delay the release of the film. The protests against the release of the film also came to a point where Deepika was threatened and abused by Karni Sena members on air. The film was certified in January by the CBFC with a suggested title change and five modifications.

Even now, the problem is not solved. Just a few days ago, members of fringe group Rajput Karni Sena are demanding a nationwide ban on the film. The makers on Monday issued a full page ad in dailies saying that the film is an ode to Rajput pride and valour.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat (erstwhile Padmavati) has been in news for the longest time now. It all started with Rajput Karni Sena vandalising the set of the film, alleging that the film distorting history leading to protest and even threatening physical harm to actor Deepika Padukone. As per latest reports, after Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC)’s proposed cuts and a change of title, the film, also starring Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor, is all set to hit screens on January 25.

Interestingly, the film releases on the same day in Sri Lanka and the Prime Minister of the country, Ranil Wickremesing, has expressed his desire to watch the film. The Prime Minister of Sri Lanka has requested for a special show and I have informed Sanjay Leela Bhansali (director of the film) about this,” says Kalapi, adding that the date of the screening has not been decided yet. Hindustan Times, however, could not independently verify the claim.

Ask him how the citizens of the Island country reacted to the controversy around the film and he adds, “In a way, the film being in news all this while has created a good hype. Deepika Padukone is rumoured to be dating Ranveer Singh, but there is a buzz that the actress has still not got over her ex-beau Ranbir Kapoor, The Asian Age reported.

It is well known that Deepika and Ranbir had dated each other for quite some time. Their relationship did not work for some reasons, and the duo had parted ways.

Post their split, Deepika became good friends with Ranveer, and soon rumours of their affair started doing the rounds. Although neither Deepika nor Ranveer ever confirmed their love, it is now believed that the Padmavat stars are very much in a relationship.

However, a report in The Asian Age states that DP still can't get Ranbir out of her head, and that apparently has been causing some problems between her and Ranveer.

She could never shake him off from her emotional slate. Although he (Ranbir) has moved on from their relationship a long time ago, Deepika continues to hold him dear for some reason. Today, Ranbir likes to think of Deepika as just a good friend, but she hasn't been able to move from lovers to friends," a source told The Asian Age.

The report further stated that Ranveer is very much aware of this, but still, he is trying to be patient with his rumoured girlfriend.

Ranveer is the best boyfriend a girl can have. He is devoted and committed. He is aware of the attachment that still exists between his lady love and her former boyfriend Ranbir. Ranveer is well aware that Deepika hasn't gotten over Ranbir, but he is patient and is waiting for Deepika," the source told The Asian Age.

Recently, the Piku actress and Ranveer had reportedly spent a vacation together in the Maldives. They were spotted returning together at the Mumbai airport. There were reports claiming that their families had also accompanied them on the trip, where the two stars were supposed to get engaged.

There were also reports saying that Ranveer recently took Deepika to his grandmother, following which the duo drove back together to the actor's house in Mumbai. With so much happening around the two rumoured love-birds, it is being believed that they might tie the knot soon.

Deepika Padukone just revealed what her wedding will be like

Authors: Ecroaker. com Boosters.

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are the current favourite of the gossip mills, now that Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are happily hitched. Right before Deepika's 32nd birthday on January 5 this year, rumours of her engagement with Ranveer Singh broke. But they soon turned out to be just that: rumours.

However, while there's no development on Deepika and Ranveer's supposed engagement yet, Padukone recently bared her heart about what her dream wedding will be like.

On a recent chat show, that is yet to be aired, Deepika was asked by host Neha Dhupia which designer she would choose for her wedding trousseau. Now, Deepika (and a lot of Bollywood) have mostly stuck to Manish Malhotra as their go-to fashion designer when it comes to Indian wear.

However, Deepika picked the other option offered by the host: Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Over Manish Malhotra.

Just last month, the country got to see Sabyasachi's skills on Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma. The designer was entrusted with the task of crafting all of Anushka's looks, through the mehendi to the two receptions. Virat, on the other hand, was seen in a Raghavendra Rathore creation at their Mumbai reception. For all the other occasions, both Virat and Anushka were dressed by Sabyasachi.

Deepika too seems to be mesmerised by her colleague's outfits.

Apart from saying that she wanted to be a Sabyasachi bride, Deepika took a few digs at her boyfriend Ranveer Singh.

When asked to complete the sentence, "Ranveer, stop doing. Padukone answered, "Outrageous clothes!

Deepika and Ranveer have been dating for more than five years now. The two hit it off on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 2013 film Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram Leela, and ever since, have been going strong.

A few days ago, the grapevine was abuzz with stories of Ranveer's family having gifted Deepika a diamond set, and that she met Singh's grandmother too. All of which were deciphered as signs that another big fat Bollywood wedding is in the offing. Sometime soon.

Big relief for Padmavat

Authors: Ecroaker. com Boosters.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati, which has been titled as Padmavat now, will apparently face no problem in releasing across Goa.

Goa Chief Minister, Manohar Parrikar said that he had no issue in allowing the release of the film in the state if the censor board cleared it.

If they have a censor certificate, we do not have an objection. If there is a law and order issue, we will look at it then. Police report was for peak season. Peak season is over, so there is no problem," IANS quoted Parrikar as saying. Earlier, Padmavati was supposed to be released on December 1.

This would come as a big relief for the makers of Deepika Padukone-starrer as Rajasthan chief minister stated that the film will not be allowed to be screened in the state. Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje had said that she will not allow the release of the film in the state, considering people's sentiments.

Slated to be released on January 25, Padmavat has been at the centre of a heated controversy for quite some time. The entire row started after it was alleged that the film has objectionable scenes involving characters of Rani Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji, played by Deepika and Ranveer Singh respectively.

Some Rajput outfits had then staged protests against its release, and had even issued death threats to Deepika and director Bhansali. However, the censor board recently cleared the movie with a few alterations, including change in the title.

Nonetheless, the protestors are still not satisfied, and want a ban on the film. Only time will tell if Padmavat would sees the light of the day in Rajasthan.
