KATHMANDU, JULY 5Three school buildings, namely Shree Malika Higher Secondary School in Lalikanda, Shree Bhairav Secondary School in Badabhairav, and Shree Jagadish Secondary School in Badakhola and a building of Shree Narayan Campus, Rampur, built with the Government of India's financial assistance of NRs108.60 million in Dailekh under Nepal-India Development Cooperation were formally handed over to the concerned local authorities of the Government of Nepal today. Gurans Rural Municipality Chairman Top Bshadur BC, Bhagawatimai Rural Municipality Chairman Ganesh Bahadur Thapa, Mahabu Rural Municipality Acting Chairman Manju Kumari Sharma (Pandey) and Narayan Municipality Mayor Loman Sharma and social workers and political representatives, officials of Nepal Government and local community leaders were also present on the occasion.These projects were taken up as High Impact Community Development Projects (HICDPs) under the agreement reached between the Government of India and the Government of Nepal.

All these school and campus building projects were implemented through DCC, Dailekh.

These school and campus buildings will provide students in the area quality educational infrastructure and create suitable environment for good quality education in Dailekh district. Since 2003, India has taken up over 544 HICDPs in Nepal and completed 480 projects.

Amongst these, there are 14 projects in Karnali Province.

Of these projects, four are in Dailekh.

In addition to these, the Government of India has gifted 940 ambulances and 184 school buses to various hospitals, health posts and educational institutions in Nepal on the occasion of the Independence Day and Republic Day of India.
