NEW DELHI: PSU Bank shares were trading higher with the Nifty PSU Bank index 1.98 per cent up at 2,980.95 around 12:28 pm on Monday.

Shares of Union Bank of India (up 3.76 per cent), Oriental Bank of Commerce (up 3.11 per cent), State Bank of India (up 2.28 per cent) and Indian Bank (up 1.77 per cent) clocked decent gains.

Bank of India (up 1.31 per cent), Syndicate Bank (up 1.16 per cent), Bank of Baroda (up 1.14 per cent) and Canara Bank (up 1.05 per cent) too were trading in the green.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 43.75 points at 10,509.25 while BSE Sensex was 108.73 points at 34,902.92 at that time.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 17 were trading in the green, while 33 were in the red.

Shares of Axis Bank, SBI, YES Bank, Ashok Leyland, Bank of Baroda, NTPC, SAIL, Tata Motors, Idea Cellular, ONGC, BHEL and LT Fin Holding were among most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange.
