NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading with gains in Thursday's morning session. Shares of Wipro (up 0.43 per cent) , Infosys (up 0.41 per cent) , HCL Technologies (up 0.28 per cent) and NIIT Technologies (up 0.23 per cent) were trading higher. Tata Elxsi (up 0.23 per cent) , Tata Consultancy Services (up 0.20 per cent) and Oracle Financial Services Software (up 0.14 per cent) too were trading with gains.

The Nifty IT index was trading 0.21 per cent up at 15,593.60 around 10:10 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 21.25 points at 11,987.30 while the BSE Sensex was up 96.56 points at 40,566.34.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 23 were trading in the green, while 27 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NBCC , SBI, Bank of Baroda, L-T Fin Holding, PNB, JSPL and DLF were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
