DEHRADUN: Special Pocso Act courts in Tehri Garhwal and Haridwar have handed down 20 years of rigorous imprisonment (RI) to two men convicted of raping two 15-year-old girls.

In Tehri, on November 9, 2020, the victim's father filed an FIR against Meherban Ali for kidnapping his minor daughter.

The girl was allegedly abducted and taken to Bijnor, where she was subjected to repeated sexual assaults for a month.

The doctor who conducted the medical examination of the victim testified in court that the victim disclosed that Ali had raped her multiple times.The court found Ali guilty under several charges and also imposed a fine of Rs 14,000 on him.
