William Boulter, who is currently IndiGo's chief strategy officer, will be taking over as CCO Sanjay Kumar, chief commercial officer (CCO) of IndiGo, has resigned from the airline, with effect from July 15, 2018, to pursue other career interests, said InterGlobe Aviation Ltd, which runs the carrier IndiGo, in a press release on Monday.
William Boulter, who is currently the chief strategy officer, will be taking over as CCO.
This is the second high-profile exit in months after Indigo's president Aditya Ghosh had resigned in April after being with the company for 10 years."The last 12 years at IndiGo has been the most satisfying and rewarding experience of my career.
I am extremely proud to have been a part of commercial success of the airline.
I would like to thank the founders and all colleagues for their support during this time," said Mr Kumar.With over 20 years of experience in the aviation sector, Mr.
Kumar worked with Sahara Airlines, Royal Airways Limited and worked on the start-up project of SpiceJet.
Mr Kumar joined IndiGo on January 29, 2007, according to IndiGo's website.Mr Boulter is an aviation industry veteran with more than three decades of experience.
Before joining IndiGo, he worked with TAAG Angola Airlines in Africa.Rahul Bhatia, Interim CEO of IndiGo, said "I would like to thank Sanjay for all he has done for the Company in making IndiGo the airline it is.
