When rains have lashed parts of Maharashtra causing considerable damage in the highly-populated places including Mumbai and the adjoining areas where four persons have died in the past 24 hours.
Among the four people who died included a 15-year-old child who died after falling into an open pit in the Malad's suburb.
The water-logging caused by Mumbai rains is causing disruption to public transport including Indian Railway's western zone trains.
However, some of the trains are running as per schedule.
"WR Suburban trains are running normal.
Rail traffic on both tracks between Bhilad Sanjan normal," tweeted Western Railway.On Monday, however, several trains were rescheduled because of heavy rains.
