Rahil Vishram is said to be a leading drug supplier for Bollywood celebs (Photo: PTI/representation)The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Mumbai team led by Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede has detained one Rahil Vishram with 1 kg charas (cannabis).
NCB also seized Rs 4.5 lakh cash from Rahil Vishram's residence.
According to the NCB, Rahil Vishram is directly connected to other peddlers who have been named in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.Rahil Vishram was detained following an operation that was carried out on Thursday and went on till Friday morning.
Rahil Vishram is said to be a leading dug supplier Bollywood.Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede and his team, investigating the case related to Rhea Chakraborty and others, found details of Rahil Vishram who is connected directly to the network, and conducted a raid and search at his residence in Versova, Mumbai.The NCB team has seized high-quality Hashish (cannabis) also known as Malana Cream from Himachal Pradesh.
The high-value 1 kg narcotic drug could be worth over Rs 3 to 4 crore.
The NCB team has also seized Rs 4.5 lakh cash from Rahil Vishram's residence.During primary interrogation, Rahil has revealed that his boss is associated with the film industry and is one of the biggest suppliers of high-end Malana Cream to Bollywood celebrities.
NCB has now launched a manhunt to nab Rahil's boss.Wankhede and his team are currently following leads provided by Rahil Vishram to nab his boss.
Sources have said that Rahil Vishram and his boss's arrest would be a major blow to narcotics operations and drug supply chain in Bollywood.The operation conducted by Wankhede and his team is in the same case registered by NCB in which Rhea Chakraborty and others have been arrested.
Sources said Rahil Vishram is directly linked to many accused arrested in the case.A second module of drug supply to Bollywood celebrities was busted by NCB, Mumbai in connection with the Rhea Chakraborty case on Friday.While pursuing details on all possible suppliers of banned drugs, that were being allegedly procured by Showik and Rhea Chakraborty for Sushant Singh Rajput, NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede and his team raided a place in Powai, Mumbai and detained at least two persons.The search helped recover 500 grams of high-quality drugs which was being sold at Rs 6-8,000 per gram.
The drug, worth Rs 30 to 40 lakh, has been seized.
The detainees are being questioned.
