Acting Minister of Interior Sirajuddin Haqqani said in a meeting with the UN special envoy for Afghanistan that the Islamic Emirate has taken the necessary steps to prove its honesty towards neighboring countries.According to the Ministry of Interior&s statement released on Sunday, Haqqani said in the meeting that global peace is of importance for the Islamic Emirate just as the security and stability of Afghanistan is.He emphasized that past problems and shortcomings should not be linked to the Islamic Emirate, and the internal issues of neighboring countries should not cause problems for Afghan refugees.Haqqani said that the international parties should support the efforts of the Islamic Emirate to curb armed criminals.According to the statement, the special representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations, Roza Otunbayeva, appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Interior in ensuring security and fighting drugs, and said that there will be assistance in the fight against drugs, vocational training for recovering drug addicts and creating alternative livelihoods.She said that refugees returning from neighboring countries face many problems.
