Deputy Superintendent of Police Jitendra Basnet reported that their bodies were discovered buried in a landslip about 60 metres below the school's football academy at 5 p.m.

on Saturday.The deceased are 13-year-old Aditya Balampaki of Sarlahi, 11-year-old Priyansa Acharya of Kathmandu Kalanki, 14-year-old Anupam Ghalan of Makwanpur Hetauda, 14-year-old Simon Yonjan of Makwanpurgarhi, 14-year-old Vikal Regmi of Bara Nijgadh, and 14-year-old Divash Baniya of Makwanpur. All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) began football training at Batsala Devi Secondary School since last year.

According to the agreement between the ANFA and the school, 40 students were learning football.The school built the field by demolishing the steep hill only about 5 years ago.After the Kulekhani reservoir was filled, the Sisneri River flooded when the water was released on Saturday morning.

The school is located near the Sisneri River.

Following the river flood, the children and teachers who lived at the school were trying to go to the market.

However, landslides engulfed them before they could escape.On Saturday evening, a Nepali Army helicopter transported the bodies of six children and surviving thirty other children, their coach, and a teacher to Kathmandu. .
