KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 7The Republic of Korea's Foreign Minister, Cho Tae-yul, sent a message of condolence to Nepal's Foreign Minister, Arzu Rana Deuba, on Monday, September 30, expressing deep sorrow over the severe floods and landslides that have struck Nepal. Nepal-Canada Foreign Minister-level bilateral meeting held Visiting Omani Foreign Minister calls on PM Oli In his message, Cho expressed shock and sadness at the tragic loss of lives caused by heavy rainfall in Nepal.

He extended his heartfelt condolences to the victims and offered sincere sympathy to the bereaved families and the injured.

Cho also assured that the South Korean government and its people stand ready to provide support and assistance for Nepal's flood relief efforts.The Korea National Red Cross (KNRC) has pledged 100 million Korean Won through the Nepal Red Cross Society to assist those affected by the recent floods and landslides.

Additionally, the KNRC launched a nationwide fundraising campaign on October 2, with the proceeds earmarked for emergency relief for displaced individuals and recovery efforts in collaboration with the Nepal Red Cross. This message of support comes as Nepal and South Korea mark the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic relations.

On this momentous occasion, Nepal's President, Ram Chandra Poudel, extended warm felicitations to South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and the people of Korea.President Poudel highlighted the close and friendly ties between the two countries, built on mutual respect and goodwill.

He expressed satisfaction with the half-century-long journey of bilateral relations and emphasized celebrating the milestone with broader cooperation under the theme 'Everlasting Friendship.' President Poudel conveyed his congratulations to President Yoon on the occasion of South Korea's National Day. .
