The interruption was due to a lack of passengers, leaving the airport inactive during the main days of the Dashain festival.Simkot Station Chief, Chhiring Lama, reported that Tara Air and Nepal Airlines conducted flights on Monday, with Tara Air operating one flight and Nepal Airlines two.
These flights carried not only passengers but also essential goods and construction materials.
Lama mentioned that ticket bookings for Tuesday were already full, anticipating an increase in passengers, especially as more people were leaving Humla than entering.However, Sita Air and Summit Air did not operate any flights on Monday, according to the Simkot Airport Office.
