The Afghanistan Independent Journalists Union (AIJU) says it has signed a three-year memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a private hospital in Kabul to provide affordable health services to journalists.The MoU was signed throughout a ceremony in Kabul on Tuesday, between Hojatullah Mujadadi, the head of the union, and the director of the private hospital Abdullah Yousafzai.Mujadadi welcomed the move and stated this became part of the union&& s efforts to ensure media employees are offered with appropriate health services.According to the AIJU, media workers and their immediate families, that include their parents, brother or sisters, partner and children, will be entitled to considerable discounts for medical treatment at the hospital.The AIJU said charges would be marked down by in between 50% and 70% for media workers.The post AIJU seals deal with private medical facility for Afghan media employees first appeared on Ariana News.
