KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 3Minister for Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation Deepak Khadka Departed for India to Participate in the International Solar Alliance on Sunday.Agriculture Minister bats for fishery business for sustainable economic growth2 Russians set record for longest single stay on the International Space StationMinister Khadka led a delegation that departed for New Delhi at 3:00 PM to attend the 7th International Solar Alliance, scheduled to take place from November 3 to 6 in the Indian capital.The International Solar Alliance was established during the 21st session of the COP-21 held in Paris, France, in 2015, where heads of state from 120 countries pledged to actively participate in promoting solar energy.During the four-day conference, participants will discuss strategies to enhance access to solar energy, ensure energy security, and advance energy development.
Additionally, a new executive committee will be elected during the event.The upcoming conference aims to mobilize over USD 1 trillion in investments for the widespread adoption of solar energy, which is expected to support Nepal in achieving its goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2045.Minister Khadka is accompanied by senior energy expert Prabal Adhikari, Director General of the Electricity Development Department Navin Raj Singh, and his financial advisor Amit Shrestha..
