National Peoples Power (NPP) Gampaha District Member of Parliament Asoka Sapumal Ranwala has been unanimously designated as the brand-new Speaker of Parliament.He was nominated by Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya at the commencement of the inaugural session of the tenth Parliament.The proposal was seconded by Minister Vijitha Herath.The initially sitting of the 10th Parliament of Sri Lanka commenced at 10.00 a.m.
