Russias military has changed the leader of among its 6 operational groups battling in Ukraine, the RBC news website reported Tuesday, citing confidential sources.Lieutenant General Alexander Sanchik was supposedly designated acting leader of Russias South group of forces.
Sanchik is successful Colonel General Gennady Anashkin, who was gotten rid of as part of a prepared rotation, according to a Defense Ministry source mentioned by RBC.Pro-war military bloggers reported over the weekend that Anashkin was eliminated aftermisleadinghis superiors about settlements he apparently declared were captured near the Ukrainian town of Siversk.
Some blog writers declared the supposed misinformation caused unjustified losses on the front lines.The South group has been active in recent weeks near the towns of Kurakhove, Chasiv Yar and Siversk in eastern Ukraines Donetsk region.
