Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has actually revealed significant changes to its Constitution following an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) held on Friday (December 20), consisting of a substantial reduction in the total number of voting members from 147 to 60.
The modifications reaffirm SLCs dedication to fostering excellent governance, openness, inclusivity, and effectiveness in its management structure, the SLC stated in a statement.The new voting structure makes sure that voting rights are figured out entirely based upon the level of cricket played by each member club, with all qualified clubs and associations being entitled to only one vote.

Malanie Gunaratne and 4 other members, was also designated throughout the Extraordinary General Meeting.The election committee will manage the preparations and conduct the SLCs upcoming elections, scheduled to happen in 2025.
