Russian vocalists who support Moscows war on Ukraine will visit schools throughout the country ahead of strategies to include patriotic songs to the nationwide school curriculum, a Russian lawmakersaid in an interview published Thursday.Our artists proposed the concept of holding patriotic music lessons, State Duma deputy Sergei Kolunov, a member of the ruling United Russia celebration, informed Parlamentskaya Gazeta.Shaman, Oleg Gazmanov and our associate Denis Maidanov will take a trip to schools, speak with children and sing together around February, March and April, Kolunov added.The school tours belong to a State Duma effort to assemble a list of patriotic tunes that would be taught in music classes as quickly as the next school year this September, the lawmaker said.Shaman and Gazmanovjoined other artists, teachers and principals for a parliamentary round table in the fall to talk about integrating patriotic music from the very first to 8th grades.Kolunov stated members of that round table will meet again next week on Thursday to finalize the list of patriotic songs to be consisted of in the curriculum.
He worried that foreign music would not be banned from schools, calling The Beatles and jazz as examples.The most current effort belongs to a more comprehensive government effort to strengthen childrens patriotic education and win over popular opinion for Russias intrusion of Ukraine.
