TEHRAN Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Wednesday night responded to Donald Trump that signed a presidential memorandum to reinstate maximum pressure against Iran, calling it a failed experience.Araghchi suggested that smart persons will adopt maximum wisdom and not maximum pressure.What is called maximum pressure is a failed experience.
Repeating it once again will lead to maximum resistance.
Smart persons instead choose maximum wisdom, Araghchi wrote on his X account.He added Iran is a signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and it has already announced clearly that it will not seek to produce nuclear weapons under any circumstances.The chief diplomat added it is not difficult to receive practical guarantees that Iran will not build nuclear weapons provided that the Islamic Republic is given reciprocal objective guarantees that the hostile moves, including economic pressure and sanctions, are effectively are ended.
