The Basnayake Nilame of Ruhunu Kataragama Devalaya, Dishan Gunasekara has reached the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) today (10) to provide a statement.Gunasekaras arrival at the CID follows a current summon released by the CID for him to appear before the department to offer a statement.Speaking to the media upon his arrival at the CID this morning, Gunasekara stated that a group of policeman dressed in civilian clothing had gotten to his home in Matarawhere only his 84-year-old mom livesand searched the house without a warrant.He stated the officers claimed they were looking for previous IGP Deshabandu Tennakoon, who is currently on the run and averting arrest.Furthermore, he included, I am not a politicianas a resident of this country, I urge the authorities to prevent such unofficial acts.
