TEHRAN The Hamzeh Seyyed al-Shohada Headquarters of Irans Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) revealed the taking apart of a Daesh-affiliated terrorist cell in Kurdistan Province in the opening days of the Iranian New Year.In a declaration issued by the head office Public Relations Office, the IRGC validated that the group of foreign nationalstrained operatives of the Daesh terrorist grouphad prepared suicide attacks during Nowruz celebrations.
Thanks to timely public reporting, close coordination amongst regional security and intelligence firms, and swift action by the Law Enforcement Command (Faraja), the plot was uncovered and the terrorists were eliminated before they might perform their mission.Security forces seized several suicide belts, guns, and grenades throughout the operation.The aim of transregional intelligence services and their proxy terrorist groups is to destabilize Iran and plant department amongst ethnic and religious communities, the declaration checked out.
