TEHRAN - The path to the prize for the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 has been figured out as the groups for the thirty-first edition of the event were verified in Tuesdays draw.The FIBA Asia Cup 2025 will be dipped into Jeddah from Aug.
5-17, marking the very first time the Persian Gulf state is hosting FIBAs flagship event in Asia after 1997.
The 16 teams are divided into 4 groups of 4 teams each.The Groups are as followsGroup A: Qatar, Australia, Korea, LebanonGroup B: Guam, Japan, Syria, IranGroup C: China, Jordan, India, Saudi ArabiaGroup D: Chinese Taipei, New Zealand, Iraq, PhilippinesDuring the Group Phase, the groups will bet each other in a single-round robin format.
The first-placed groups of each group will qualify straight to the Quarter-Finals.
The 2nd- and third-placed teams in each group will play in a Qualification to Quarter-Finals round.The Final Phase of the competition will proceed from the Quarter-Finals onwards with a single-elimination format in location.
