A person has been hurt and hospitalized after police opened fire at the Gala Junction in Kiribathgoda, early this morning (11 ).
According to cops, the incident happened around 2:30 a.m.
when officers on patrol observed a suspicious private waiting near a motorcycle.
When a policeman approached to inspect, the suspect supposedly attempted to get away the scene, triggering the officer to open fire.The injured person was confessed to the Ragama Hospital for treatment, while cops are carrying out more investigations relating to the occurrence.
