
The 2025 Masters Cup Ballroom Dance Beijing Open held its grand opening ceremony at the Beijing National Stadium on April 9.
From April 9 to 13, a total of 4,415 participants from 23 countries and regions will compete in 672 categories, showcasing fierce competition on a global stage.
The event features a distinguished international judging panel of 120 professionals from 20 countries, with live coverage provided by China Media Group's streaming platform, delivering a world-class ballroom dance competition marked by professionalism, spectacle, and widespread reach.The Beijing Open includes four flagship events: International Open Professional Standard, International Open Professional Latin, International Amateur A-Class Standard, and International Amateur A-Class Latin.
The competition has attracted elite dancers, including world championship titleholders and top European professionals.
Notable judges include Robin Short, the organizer of the prestigious UK Open Dance Festival, also known for his work on the International Dance Festival, and Marcus Hilton MBE, a nine-time World Professional Standard Dance Champion.
Their expertise ensures the events fairness and authority, promising audiences a visually stunning display of competitive ballroom artistry.This year‘s event also emphasizes cultural exchange through dance.
The Belt and Road Youth Friendship Team Competition brought together young dancers from five Belt and Road partner countries, fostering mutual learning and connection through shared performances.
