The Vietnamese version of "The Classic Quotes by Xi Jinping," a multilingual television show produced by China Media Group (CMG), was aired in Vietnam as Chinese President Xi Jinping started a two-day state visit to the country on Monday.As part of the cultural exchange activities celebrating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam, CMG and Vietnam Television on Monday also held a ceremony of cooperation to establish a regular cooperation mechanism, deepen collaboration in content sharing, joint production, personnel exchanges and others between the two broadcasters.Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a letter of congratulations on the program's broadcast and the success of the event.
Noting that 2025 marks the Vietnam-China Year of People-to-People Exchanges, he said the two broadcasters should seize the opportunity of the latest round of cooperation to further promote cultural exchanges, strengthen the bond between the two countries, and jointly advance the building of a Vietnam-China community with a shared future that carries strategic significance.Speaking at the event, Shen Haixiong, deputy head of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and president of CMG, said CMG is willing to work with friends from all sectors of Vietnam to contribute to building a China-Vietnam community with a shared future that carries strategic significance, practicing the principles of amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness, and building a peaceful, safe and secure, prosperous, beautiful and amicable home.Nguyen Thanh Lam, president of Vietnam Television, noted the event's significance in the two flagship media institutions' more than 30-year journey of cooperation, adding that it greatly contributes to promoting and developing the traditional friendship and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.Le Hai Binh, executive vice minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam, said Vietnam and China are two friendly neighbors connected by mountains and rivers and cultural bonds.
