China on Friday expressed strong opposition to the United States actions following its examination into Chinas maritime, logistics and shipbuilding sectors.A representative for Chinas Ministry of Commerce stated China has repeatedly declared its position on the Section 301 examination and submitted a non-paper describing its position, prompting the United States to stop blaming China for its domestic industrial issues.Describing the measures as a normal act of unilateralism and protectionism, the representative said they badly damage the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese business, seriously interrupt the stability of global industrial and supply chains, blatantly violate WTO guidelines, and basically undermine the rules-based multilateral trading system and international economic and trade order.China advised the United States to respect the truths and multilateral guidelines and to cease its wrongful actions, the spokesperson stated, adding that China will closely keep track of developments and resolutely take essential procedures to protect its genuine rights and interests.
