Two-time Chinese Olympic table tennis gold medalist Wang Liqin, was elected as the new president of the Chinese Table Tennis Association (CTTA) at 46 on Wednesday.

In 2001, he won the men's singles, doubles and team titles at the World Championships.

At the 2008 Beijing Olympics, he took the gold in the men's team event and bronze in singles.Wang earned 16 world championship titles in career and retired from the national team in 2013.
