Pakistan closed its air space for Indian airline companies and declined New Delhis suspension of a water sharing treaty on Thursday in retaliation for neighbouring Indias action to a lethal militant attack in the Indian-ruled part of Kashmir. The announcement from the Pakistan Prime Ministers Office followed a meeting of the National Security Committee, a day after India stated there were cross-border elements to Tuesdays attack, in which 26 guys were shot dead by militants at a popular tourist destination.Indian police released notifications calling 3 militant suspects and saying 2 were Pakistanis, however New Delhi has actually not offered any proof of the linkages or shared anymore details. However, on Wednesday it devalued ties with Pakistan, suspending a six-decade old treaty on the waters of the Indus river and closing the only land crossing in between the neighbours.Like India, Pakistan declares both the Indian- and Pakistani-ruled parts of Kashmir.Any danger to Pakistans sovereignty and to the security of its individuals will be consulted with firm reciprocal measures in all domains, the Pakistani statement said.It added that any attempt to stop or divert water coming from Pakistan would be considered an act of war.Source: Reuters-- Agencies
