Russias Defense Ministry on Monday released a video showing North Korean soldiers undergoing battle training in Russia, shortly after both Moscow and Pyongyang verified reports of North Korean involvement in the war.The video, shared by state media, reveals Russian trainers teaching the North Korean soldiers how to manage Kalashnikov assault rifles, grenade launchers and shotguns for use against drones.
The video also reveals hand grenade training and fight techniques in open locations and trenches.Military authorities did not state when the video was recorded.The video footage was released hours after President Vladimir Putin thanked North Korean leader Kim Jong Un for sending out soldiers to help Russian forces in recovering territory from Ukrainian forces in the southwestern Kursk region.Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov informed reporters Monday that Moscow isabsolutely prepared to send out Russian soldiers to North Korea in exchange for Pyongyangs assistance.North Koreas state news firm KCNA previously reported that its soldiers fought in the Kursk region, where Ukrainian forces introduced a surprise incursion in August.Kim stated the deployment was carried out under the Russian-North Korean mutual defense treaty, according to KCNA
