Russian military private investigators stated Wednesday that they opened a terrorism probe following a Ukrainian missile strike that was stated to have eliminated 2 civilians in the Kursk region over the weekend.The Russian Defense Ministry implicated Ukraine of targeting military websites in the southwestern Kursk area with U.S.-supplied ATACMS missiles on Saturday and Monday.The military division of Russias Investigative Committee, which probes major criminal offenses, said 2 civilians were eliminated in Saturdays attack.According to private investigators, Ukraine fired three tactical rockets at the village of Bolshoye Zhirovo, situated 100 kilometers (62 miles) east ofnortheastern Ukraines Sumy area.
They described that attack as an act of terrorism.The village lies 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) east of Lotarevka, where Russias military reported that Saturdays strikes struck an S-400 rocket system and wounded a concealed number of servicemen.Lotarevka lies northwest of the local capital Kursk and the neighboring Vostochny airbase, where Russian officials stated Mondays ATACMS strikes hurt 2 servicemen.Russian investigators said that all members of Ukraines armed groups associated with this criminal offense will be identified and held liable under the law.
