Former Minister of State Lohan Ratwatte and his partner, who were detained and remanded over the charges of using a high-end automobile unlawfully imported and put together in Sri Lanka, were produced before the Nugegoda Magistrates Court today (07 ).
Ratwatte, who was apprehended by Mirihana Police in Kandy on October 31, was bought to be remanded by the Nugegoda Additional Magistrate up until today (Nov.
07).
However, on November 02, the former Minister was admitted to the jail healthcare facility owing to a disease, where he was consequently moved to Colombo National Hospital.Meanwhile, on November 04, Shashi Prabha Ratwatte, the other half of the former State Minister, was likewise arrested after appearing before the Nugegoda Magistrates Court in relation to the occurrence, as per a court order, where she was ordered to be remanded in custody until today.
