In an effort to provide more effective services to the public, the Presidents Fund is set to launch a brand-new initiative to provide services at the regional level through the workplaces of the Divisional Secretaries, under the management of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake on February 7 at the Temple Trees, Colombo.Previously, the official work of the Presidents Fund was limited to the Colombo location.
Nevertheless, under the brand-new strategy, these services will be extended nationwide through 341 sub-offices established at Divisional Secretary offices throughout the country.The pertinent pilot projects for 5 chosen Divisional Secretary offices are already functional, and the full-blown execution of the new service model will begin nationwide on February 7, the Presidents Media Division (PMD) stated.This initiative was announced throughout a virtual meeting held today (25) at the Presidents Office to inform Divisional Secretaries about the new technique to the Presidents Funds services.The Secretary of the Presidents Fund and the Senior Additional Secretary to the President, Roshan Gamage, highlighted that the new digitalization and networking plan aims to offer more efficient and reliable services to the public.Through this system, anyone can ask for monetary help associated with their disease at their local Divisional Secretary office, and the necessary paperwork can be submitted there as well, the declaration added.During the discussion, Divisional Secretaries were informed about the procedures for choosing patients, preparing the needed documents and the responsibilities of the Presidents Fund.-- PMD--
