Wickramaratne has stressed that an appropriate audit of the federal governments assets has not been carried out efficiently thus far.He attributed the crisis surrounding federal government possession management to the failure of government officials to efficiently perform their duties.Wickramaratne made these remarks while addressing a workshop organized by the Ministry of Industries in Colombo.Speaking further on the problem, Wickramaratne raised a number of concerns, stating: Who can give a warranty that the governments properties can be obtained from one location? There are no politicians or ministers involved in this.
These accountings are performed by state authorities themselves.
Why are they not in one location? Can you a minimum of tell the number of government cars there are? Why is it that if accountings were done, that should have been done but that has not happened?He continued, Recently, a big quantity of info has emerged from our audit reports.
