LATAM Airlines Group reported a 3.1% increase in passenger traffic for February 2025 compared to the same month last year.
The Chilean carrier announced these results on March 11, highlighting expanded capacity across its extensive network.The airline transported over 6.5 million passengers during February, representing a 1.8% year-over-year growth.
LATAM increased its total capacity by 4.4%, primarily driven by a significant 9.1% expansion in international operations.Load factors fell slightly to 83.3%, down 1.1 percentage points from February 2024.
The company noted slower growth compared to Januarys stronger performance, citing weakness in Brazilian and South American domestic markets.Brazilian domestic routes showed modest improvement with traffic rising 1.4% and capacity expanding 0.4%.
The load factor for Brazilian flights reached 79.8%, up 0.8 percentage points.
LATAM carried 2.65 million passengers within Brazil during February.The company resumed strategic international connections from Porto Alegre to Santiago and Lima last month.
