The United Arab Emirates& foreign ministry said in a statement Wednesday that Saif Abdulla Alshamisi, Assistant Undersecretary for Protocol Affairs, accepted credentials for Badruddin Haqqani, the new ambassador of Afghanistan to the UAE.Alshamisi wished the Islamic Emirate&s ambassador success in his post and in enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation between the UAE and Afghanistan.The ministry stated that the newly appointed ambassador expressed his pleasure in representing his country in the United Arab Emirates, which enjoys a prestigious regional and international position under the visionary policy of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.Only a handful of countries have accepted the credentials of Afghan ambassadors after China took the first step late last year.The post UAE accepts Islamic Emirate&s ambassador first appeared on Ariana News.
